Just as the name implies this area can really get your heart a pumpin'. The area is officially located in Big Cottonwood Canyon but is best accessed from Little Cottonwood canyon. Park at the Lady of our Snow Chapel and head up the road to your left. Ounce at the top of Cardiff pass the area comes into view. To ski directly out of Cardiff drop off the ridge and continue to follow the drainage out into Big Cottonwood Canyon. |
| To access Cardiac Bowl you can either drop in from the ridge and then climb the adjacent ridge and drop into cardiac bowl from the second ridge. You can also follow the ridge leading to the top of Mount Superior from Cardiff Pass. Either way the Cardiac Bowl should be skiied when in the area. As always pick a safe day to ski this area. |
