I have only run the South Fork of the Payette three times, so I am no expert.
Each time I was on the river it was in high water. Oh boy, it was sure a
good ride. This is a small river that packs a good punch. At this level it was
probably a class III-IV. The river has actually changed since I have been
on it. For updated changes to this section check out
Vince's Idaho Whitewater Page.
From my own perspective this section has much more to watch out for and is more
dangerous than either the Main Payette or the North Fork of the Payette(the Cabarton run).
What a group. Hey, who's that tough guy on the far right?
