Mt. Woverine December 22 2003

The snow pack was very solid before the mountains got a foot and a half of snow. We broke trail up to the top of Mt. Wolverine. We skied down to the Tuscarora cirque, then broke trail up to the Tuscarora, Mt. Wolverine ridge. We skied down from the ridge into Alta. This side is usually hard to ski because it gets cooked in the sun. It was a great ski. You could feel the crust underneath the new snow. We broke trail back up to the top of Wolverine, then took a ski into the bowl again, climbed back up to the top of Wolverine, and took a long run down to the Brighton parking lot. All in all it was a great day in the Wasatch backcountry.
